Internetwork Expert Volume II: Lab 1 Tasks 3 through 10
Finally I was able to finish Lab 1 from IEWB Volume 2. I am not sure how everyone else did this first lab but I was able to stumble my way upto BGP. After that I checked my answers with the solution guide on task by task basis. I know that’s not how you are suppose to do these but since this was my first attempt on an 8-hour long lab, i thought why not.

Quote of the Day
“Self-respect cannot be hunted. It cannot be purchased. It is never for sale. It cannot be fabricated out of public relations. It comes to us when we are alone, in quiet moments, in quiet places, when we suddenly realize that, knowing the good, we have done it; knowing the beautiful, we have served it; knowing the truth, we have spoken it.”

I have on several occasions attempted to get a true international CCIE salary survey done. Most times I think these kinds of surveys are based on employer feedback. So for my first international attempt I am going for the gold. In putting together this survey I wanted to share with you the reason I think it is important.

Hi, I will be blogging on CCIETalk from time to time on various topics, mainly how-to guides for those who are new to cisco, have started their journey to become cisco certified and already have some cisco certifications under their belt. A lot of candidates who are new to cisco or are studying for their CCNA wonder how does a Frame-relay switch work? How do you configure it so two networks can communicate? How does it route traffic?
I was browsing through the group study and saw this amazing post. After a hard day at work I really needed this
I am about to redo NAT labs but just for kicks I will post that entire email here. Happy reading

Task 2 was frame-relay configs and this was a breeze. Then again this is Lab 1 (Level 5) so it can’t be that hard. Throughout this task, I had Narbik’s words yelling in my ears “Don’t use BROADCAST keyword unless its necessary”. So I did the sub-tasks without broadcast keywords. I will move on to Task 3 tomorrow which is related to IGP and then come back to this config and enable broadcast if necessary.
