CCIE Security Lab Changes

According to Yusuf Bhaiji, there are some changes coming to the CCIE Security track. There is no official announcement on the Cisco page but here are a few highlights

  • PIX Firewall Removed
  • VPN 3000 Removed
  • 3800 routers running 12.4(T) added
  • 3560 switches running 12.2SE added
  • ASA software 8.x added
  • IPS 4215 replaced with IPS 4240
  • IPS ver 6.x added

As you know I am still preparing for my R&S so I won’t be keeping up with CCIE Security but if you are going for Security track then please check Cisco’s website for more details.
