Another Level 6 lab with almost 65 dedicated to core technologies but I don’t mind that at all. This lab had some initial configuration errors that we had to fix aka troubleshooting. I was able to locate 2 of the 4 errors because I was being lazy. Well here is a brief review of IEWB Vol 2 Lab 4: Read more

I was working through IEWB Vol Lab 4 and ran across this summarization task for IPv6. I can do summarization when it comes to IPv4 but I was kind of sketchy on IPv6 summarization. Well I attempted the task and was close to say the least. So after I went through the whole task and got the details behind how it works, I thought why not post this here so others can benefit from it.

This was another diffculty level 6 lab so according to most people this won’t be that difficult. My approach for atleast first 10 labs is to take my time and understand exactly what they are asking. This is what Brian Dennis recommends to focus on understanding rather than rushing through the tasks. I was surprised to see the core section had a total of 66 points. Read more

CCIE Lab payment due date changed
This was interesting, now we don’t have the 28 day window to pay for the lab. Starting Sep 6th 2008, the new payment policy will take affect. Payment will be due in full 90 calendar days prior to your lab date. If your payment is not received then consider your lab date cancelled. Also after 90 days there won’t be any refunds so plan ahead. Cisco expects more seat availability after this policy comes into affect.

I just finished Lab 2 from the IEWB Vol 2. I know I was supposed to finish this last week but things came up and had to travel over the weekend. This lab has a difficulty rating of 6 so it is harder than vol 1 which was rated at 5. As always the wording is there to confuse you so you have to read it 2-3 times to make sense out of some of the questions. Read more
