Status Update: Oct 18th 2009

Last week or so has been very hectic trying to balance work and setting up the CCIE Voice Home Lab. I had everything ready to go and yesterday while setting up my PSTN/WAN router I realized that the T1 crossover cables I ordered were bad. So much for trying to avoid more work. I ended up making my own cables and my WAN and PSTN is up and running. I have been going over IPX Voice VOD while driving to and from work every day. I think I will start posting reviews of those also.

So as of now my plan is to go through IPX Vol 1 labs for right now. They only have labs 1 through 5 so I am hoping they can release rest of those within the next month. I have also purchased INE’s Vol 1 and 2 Workbooks and they look great. I just don’t want to go in different directions so I will stick to IPX Vol 1 labs and then circle back around to INE Labs.

I am also working with Iwan Hoogendoorn since we both have our CCIE Voice labs scheduled for 2nd week of March 2010.

My next post will detail the timeline I will follow. That’s all for right now.
