Status Update: Nov 2nd 2009

It has been 2 weeks since I last updated my strategy. Time has been flying and with schedule at work I was not able to really get the things going.

After comparing IPX and INE Voice Workbook 1, I have decided that INE's style will suite my studies since I have seen them before and also they looked more detailed. I will check out IPX labs after I get done with INE Vol 1.

Also I spent this weekend getting my Home Lab recabled for INE Topology. As I am typing this I have CUCM7 Pub, CUCM7 Sub, CUC, CUPS installed on VMware ESXi while the UCCX install is running.

WAN and PSTN has been setup while initial configurations have been modified to match my equipment which actually matches pretty good with INE.

So now the plan is that I will go through CUCM labs which I have been going through and get my feet wet with CUCM7.

I will also start the reading again and start keeping notes here for everything. I will be starting with the CUCM SRND for 7.0.1 and everything I read will be captured on the site either in Cisco's words or my own words. I feel by doing this I can track my reading progress along with a good set of important notes that I can link from the blueprint post. This will also help me quickly link SRND to important blueprint topics. That's all for right now!
