This week I ran into an interesting issue with Cisco Communications Manager 7.1(3b)SU2 where the Disaster Recovery webpage was either not responding or straight up giving the following error.
After doing some digging I ran into a Cisco Engineer’s favorite thing – a BUG!
CSCtq18270 “DRS page can login but no any response for any menu after RU”
In my case when I tried accessing the webpage it was taking too long to load and never loaded. I tried going to the Backup Device page and this is what I saw there:
Local Agent is not responding. This may be due to Master or Local Agent being down

The fix is actually pretty simple and works like a champ!
- Log into OS Administration page
- Security-> Certificate Management-> Find
- Click on ipsec.pem file and then click on regenerate
- After the successful generation of the ipsec.pem file, download the newly generated file.
- Go back to the certificate management page
- Delete the existing corrupted ipsec-trust entry or entries incase you have more than one.
- Upload the downloaded ipsec.pem file with the caption ipsec-trust.
- Restart MA/LA.
