How to Combine Excel Columns to Obtain Valid MAC

As a voice consultant we always run into customers with large amount of phones that have to be BATted in and the MAC address field is never accurately populated.

What I have seen is that most customers will scan the MAC address from the phone but never prefix the SEP. Thankfully Microsoft Excel will do that for us without much fuss.

Just use the =COLUMN1&COLUMN2 for the combined result

So there you go – this will make your life easier by letting you prefix SEP to the customer provided data without manually sitting on your computer enter SEP :) This can also avoid customer revolt incase you ask them to prefix SEP manually unless they are Excel Guru!
