My Progress
After attending Narbik’s class, I am redoing the whole outline for my CCIE progress. I will start with the Switching section in the workbook and move doing the list. Narbik recommends that I spend a week on each technology and then move on. I have about 1 month and 12 days left before his bootcamp so I need to make sure I am ready before I fly out to Pasadena in August.
*Update* - July 9th 2008 - I have covered more than I planned for at this point. I am done with Switching, Frame-Relay, RIPv2 & EIGRP. OSPF is next in line!!!
*Update* - July 16th 2008 - I just finished OSPF labs and looked up all the different commands over at UniverCD. As always there has to be a 2nd pass for this but I am excited that so far I am on track. BGP here I come!!!!!!
*Update* - July 25th 2008 - I just finished BGP! I know I spent more time on it than expected but I really wanted to get the basics right. Moving on to IPV6!!!!
*Update* - July 30th 2008 - I finished IPv6 earlier today but I will be revisiting this topic once I get my 3560s. 3550s don’t support IPv6 and that was a bummer. Also 12.2T for 2500s doesn’t support IPV6 source/dest addresses for the tunnel. Oh well moving on to NAT and IP Services.
*Update* - August 2nd 2008 - I just got done with all the IP & IOS Features portion of Narbik’s workbook. These one mostly one-off tasks. I did read through the DOCCD but didn’t have enough time to blog about my notes. I will do that later on. I have until saturday to finish the remaining tasks like Multicast, GRE, ODR, QoS & Security before I fly out to Pasadena on Sunday. Off to GRE!!!!!
*Update* - August 10th 2008 - I finished Volume 6 of Narbik’s Advanced technologies workbook! Off to Pasadena
*Update* - August 26th 2008 - Narbik’s bootcamp was great as always. Learned a few things there. Since I got back I have finished IEWB Vol 2 Labs 1 & 2.
